On Sunday, December 7, twelve children participated in a gelato shop manager job-experience workshop at Via Gelato, a popular handmade gelato shop in Honolulu known for its creative, locally inspired flavors.

On Sunday, November 30th, 2025, MIRAI HANA hosted Keiki Market #002 at BŪHO Cocina y Cantina, a popular Mexican restaurant on the 5th floor of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. This kids-only flea market invited children ages 4–11 to take the lead as both sellers and buyers. A total of 20 young sellers (ages 7–11) across 11 booths and 29 young buyers (ages 4–11) participated in this one-hour, real-world marketplace experience.

2025年11月30日（日）、MIRAI HANAは『第2回ケイキマーケット』を、ワイキキ・ショッピング・プラザ5階にある人気メキシカンレストラン BŪHO Cocina y Cantina にて開催しました。

On Sunday, November 23, fourteen children participated in a sushi chef job-experience workshop at Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera, a popular kaiten-style (conveyor-belt) sushi restaurant located in Honolulu.

On Sunday, November 16, twelve children participated in a florist job-experience workshop at PAIKO, a botanical and flower shop located in Kakaʻako.

11月16日（日）、12人の子どもたちがカカアコにあるボタニカル＆フラワーショップ「PAIKO（パイコ）」で、お花屋さんのお仕事体験をしました。

On Sunday, November 9, 2025, twelve excited children stepped into the sweet world of K. Minamoto Hawaii, located inside Ala Moana Center, and enjoyed serving as store managers for the day at the traditional Japanese confectionery store. The event aimed to inspire curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and appreciation for Japanese culture through hands-on learning with wagashi, Japan’s delicate handcrafted sweets.

2025年11月9日（日）、アラモアナセンター内の「K. Minamoto Hawaii」で、12名の子どもたちが“1日店長”として参加し、和菓子の魅力に触れました。

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, the kitchen at Kalihi Union Church was filled with the cheerful voices and bright smiles of children.
Twelve young participants joined this special program as “Community Helpers,” experiencing the joy of working for others and learning how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. 🌸

2025年11月8日（土）、カリヒ・ユニオン教会（Kalihi Union Church）のキッチンが、子どもたちの笑顔と声でいっぱいになりました。この日、12名の子どもたちが「コミュニティヘルパー」として参加し、「誰かのために働くことの喜び」を体験しました。

On Sunday, October 19, eighteen children took part in a special “Cat Café Manager Experience” at Cat Café MOFF Ala Moana.
MOFF operates over 40 stores in Japan and three locations across O‘ahu, offering a peaceful space where humans and cats can connect.
Under the guidance of Manager Lauren Wagner and Supervisor Verlyn Cabanting, the children stepped into the role of “junior managers,” learning what it means to care for cats and customers alike.

10月19日（日）、こども18人がキャットカフェのマネージャー体験をしました。

On Monday, October 6, 2025, ten children participated in an artist experience workshop at ARS Café on Monsarrat Avenue. This was the first session of the MIRAI HANA LITE series, a 90-minute hands-on program. Fukuoka-born contemporary artist Yuto Ono served as the instructor on the final day before returning to Japan.

Monsarrat Avenue, located at the foot of Diamond Head, is known for its scenic view and local cafés. ARS Café features an in-house art gallery where visitors can enjoy both artwork and coffee in one space. Mr. Ono has been exhibiting there since 2022, and this was his third solo show at the gallery.

2025年10月6日（月）、モンサラット通りにあるアースカフェにてこども10人がアーティスト体験をしました。

On October 5, 2025, twenty-four children had the unique opportunity to experience the world of a “Cake Designer” at the charming cake shop cakeM in Ala Moana.

cakeM is owned by Megumi, a talented cake designer loved by many fans for her beautiful and heartfelt creations. Due to her popularity, this workshop quickly filled up, leading to both morning and afternoon sessions with twelve children each. With participants even joining from neighboring islands, and with customers at cakeM and its adjoining café stopping by to watch, the event truly reflected the spirit of community and connection that MIRAI HANA aims to foster.

2025年10月5日（日）、アラモアナにあるかわいいケーキ屋さん「cakeM」で、午前と午後で合計こども24人が「ケーキデザイナー」のお仕事体験をしました。

On Sunday, September 21, twelve children had the unique opportunity to step into the world of fashion design at Ten Tomorrow, a local brand store in Kaimukī, under the guidance of owner Summer Shiigi. Summer is not only a fashion entrepreneur but also one of Kaimukī’s young business leaders, known for spearheading the community event Keep it Kaimuki. The kids learned firsthand what it truly means to be a fashion designer and discovered many “hidden worlds” behind the clothes we wear.

9月21日（日）、カイムキにあるローカルブランドストア「Ten Tomorrow」でオーナーのサマー・シイギさんの指導の元、こども12人がファッションデザイナーのお仕事体験をしました。サマーさんは、カイムキで「Keep it Kaimuki」というイベントをリードする若きビジネスリーダーで、こどもたちは「ファッションデザイナーの仕事とは何か」についてもたくさん学ぶことができました。

On Sunday, September 7, twelve children took part in a hands-on hair and makeup workshop at Sayumi Bridal, located in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. Inside the boutique, rows of beautiful white wedding gowns lined the walls, with three bright red chairs facing large mirrors and tables filled with professional tools. Just stepping into the salon created a sense of excitement.

9月7日（日）、ワイキキショッピングプラザにある「Sayumi BridaI」で、こども12人がヘアメイクのお仕事体験をしました。真っ白なウェディングドレスがたくさん並んでいる店内には、真っ赤な椅子が三つ。花嫁がヘアスタイルとメイクアップをしてもらう椅子とその前にある大きな鏡、そして、プロが使う道がずらり。見ただけでテンションが上がる光景です。今日は将来ヘアスタイルやメイクアップの仕事につきたいこどもが何人もいて、「やる気」スイッチ全開のスタートとなり、発言も質問も多く、元気、そして笑顔いっぱいの２時間となりました。

On Sunday, August 17, twenty-four children took part in a restaurant job experience workshop at the popular izakaya-style restaurant Kaimuki Shokudo.

There are many different kinds of jobs in a restaurant, but in this workshop the kids got to try out two roles: taking orders and preparing food.

8月17日（日）、カイムキにある大人気の居酒屋レストラン「カイムキ食堂」で、こども24人がレストランでのお仕事体験をしました。レストランのお仕事は、たくさんありますが、今回のワークショップでは、「注文をとる」「料理を作る」の２つを体験しました。

On Sunday, August 10th, we hosted our very first Keiki Market — Hawai‘i’s kids-only flea market, where children took charge as both sellers and buyers.
A total of 15 sellers and 35 buyers participated, ranging from 4 to 11 years old, creating a lively and multicultural marketplace full of learning, creativity, and fun.

This unique event allowed children not only to sell and shop on their own, but also to learn about money management, practice math skills, and experience real-world transactions — all in a safe, supportive environment.

On Sunday, August 3rd, we hosted our very first MIRAI HANA workshop: Junior Radio DJ Experience, featuring special guest Reiko Rogers — founder of Studio Rim Hawaii and a seasoned radio personality.

The workshop took place at Studio Rim Hawaii, a live radio station beautifully located on the 3rd floor of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa, right in front of the hotel pool. Reiko-san, who came to Hawaii in 2000, has built this studio as a hub for cross-cultural media, and on this day, it became a stage for 10 kids (ages 6–13) to become radio DJs for the first time.
