On Sunday, February 22, MIRAI HANA hosted a Photographer Job Experience Workshop at La-vie Bridal, located on the 3rd floor of Waikiki Shopping Plaza.
The children were warmly welcomed by Manager Naruhiko Asano, Chief Photographer Ken Sakai, Photographer Kumiko Kida, and staff member Yuuka Kakei.
La-vie Factory is a professional photography studio specializing in weddings, family portraits, and event photography. For one day, our children stepped into the world of professional photographers and experienced what it truly means to capture a moment.
📸 1. Learning the “Magic of Light”
The workshop began with a professional explanation of lighting equipment.
The children learned:
Why photographers use studio lights and strobes
The differences between white, gold, and silver reflectors
When flash is necessary indoors
How to use natural light effectively outdoors
They discovered that photography is not just about pressing a button—it is about understanding light.
😊 2. Portrait Photography – The Importance of Communication
Working in pairs, the children used professional cameras to photograph each other with guidance from the photographers.
They practiced:
Saying “Smile!”
Giving clear directions
Suggesting poses
Helping their partner feel relaxed
They learned that taking a good portrait requires communication and confidence. Both photographers and models were full of smiles throughout the session.
Each child received a printed photo as a gift—beautifully capturing their natural expressions.
💡 3. Light Experiment in a Darker Setting
In a slightly dim space, the children experimented with lighting direction.
They placed an item and tested:
Light from above
Light from the side
Light from behind
Each angle created a completely different mood.
“It’s mysterious!”
“It looks like a movie scene!”
They also learned that even a phone flashlight can be used creatively when shooting at home.
🎨 4. Item Photography – Thinking About Composition
The children brought two personal items from home and practiced item photography.
They explored:
Placing objects in the center or off to the side
Shooting straight on or at an angle
Adjusting positions for better balance
By moving and rearranging objects, they began thinking like designers—asking, “How can I make this look better?”
🤳 5. Selfie Tips
Using mobile phones, the group practiced taking selfies.
They discussed:
Which angle creates better balance
How to gather in the center
How to adjust spacing
They laughed, gave each other suggestions, and experimented with poses and expressions.
🎬 6. Practice Time
During open practice time, the children freely used DSLR cameras, phones, and tablets.
They immediately applied what they had learned:
Giving instructions
Adjusting angles
Thinking about light
Changing positions
It was inspiring to see them take initiative and experiment confidently.
💻 7. Watching Professional Editing
To conclude the workshop, the children observed a professional editing demonstration on a computer.
They learned that photography continues even after the shutter clicks. Editing enhances quality and refines the final image.

2026年2月22日（日）、ワイキキショッピングプラザ3階にある La-vie Bridal にて、MIRAI HANA主催「フォトグラファー編」こども仕事体験ワークショップを開催しました。
当日は、マネージャーの浅野さん、チーフフォトグラファーのKenさん、フォトグラファーのKumikoさん、スタッフのYuukaさんにご指導いただきました。
La-vie Factoryは、ウエディング・家族写真・イベント撮影などを手がけるプロフェッショナルフォトスタジオです。
こどもたちは、プロの現場で“本物のフォトグラファー体験”を行いました。
📸 1. プロから学ぶ「光の魔法」
まずはライトやストロボ、レフ板についての解説からスタート。
・なぜスタジオライトを使うのか
・白・金・銀のレフ板の違い
・室内ではフラッシュが必要な理由
・屋外では自然光を活かす工夫
写真は「光を操る仕事」だということを学びました。
😊 2. 人物撮影体験 〜声かけの大切さ〜
2人1組になり、本格的なカメラを使ってポートレート撮影に挑戦。
シャッターを押すだけでなく、
「笑って〜」
「こっち向いて」
「そのポーズいいね！」
と声をかけながら、自然な表情を引き出しました。
写真は“コミュニケーションの仕事”でもあることを体感しました。
完成した写真はプレゼントとして持ち帰りました。
💡 3. 暗い場所での光の実験
少し薄暗い場所で、光の当て方による雰囲気の違いを実験。
上・横・後ろから光を当てると、写真の印象が大きく変わることを体験しました。
「映画みたい！」
「不思議！」
という声も上がりました。
🎨 4. アイテム撮影体験 〜構図を考える〜
持参した2つのアイテムを使い、
・中央に置くか端に置くか
・正面か角度をつけるか
配置や構図を工夫しました。
どうしたらより良く見えるかを自分で考える時間となりました。
🤳 5. セルフィー撮影のコツ
携帯電話を使い、グループセルフィーの撮り方を学びました。
・どの角度がバランスが良いか
・どう集まるときれいに写るか
声を掛け合いながら、楽しく撮影しました。
🎬 6. 実践時間
一眼レフ、携帯電話、タブレットを自由に使い、学んだ内容を実践。
その場で工夫し、試し、改善する姿がとても印象的でした。
💻 7. 写真編集の見学
最後に、プロの写真編集作業を見学。
撮影後の編集によって、写真の完成度がさらに高まることを学びました。

こどもたちは写真の基礎知識だけでなく、

・コミュニケーション力
・主体性
を身につけることができました。
写真は「撮る」だけでなく、「見る力」「伝える力」を育てる仕事だということを体感した一日でした。
