A monthly leadership development program by MIRAI HANA where students learn to think critically, communicate confidently, and lead with purpose.
Designed primarily for students in Grades 6–8 (ages 11–14).
Students within approximately two years of the target age may also participate if the program is a good fit.
More Than Another Workshop
Why We Created MIRAI Leaders
MIRAI Leaders was inspired by the children who participated in MIRAI HANA's Kids Job Experience Workshops.
Over the past nine months, MIRAI HANA has partnered with local businesses and organizations to offer 23 hands-on workshops, serving more than 300 children across Hawaiʻi.
We watched children discover new interests, gain confidence, and become excited about the future.
But we also realized something important.
While the workshops gave children incredible real-world experiences, there wasn't enough time to help them truly grow from those experiences.
They rarely had the opportunity to:
• Reflect on what they learned
• Organize their thoughts
• Share ideas with peers
• Practice speaking in front of others
At the same time, many returning students asked,
"Can I come again?"
"I want to learn more."
"What's next?"
That inspired us to create something beyond a one-day experience.
Not another workshop—
but a community where students continue growing month after month.
Because experiences should not end when the workshop ends.
They should become confidence.
Communication.
Leadership.
MIRAI Leaders is where that journey begins.

As students grow through MIRAI Leaders, they may be invited to take on leadership roles at MIRAI HANA workshops and community events.
