We are excited to welcome you to the 26th MIRAI HANA Kids Job Experience Workshop in collaboration with ʻŌlelo Community Media!
Please review the following information before the workshop.

Date: Sunday, Sep 20, 2026
Check‑in Time: 9:40 AM – 10:00 AM
Workshop Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pick-up Time: 12:00 PM – 12:05 PM
Venue: 'Ōlelo Community Media (1122 Mapunapuna St. Honolulu, HI 96819)
✅ What to Bring & Important Notes
Please bring a water bottle.
Whenever possible, please have your child use the restroom before the workshop begins.
If someone other than the person listed on the registration form will be picking up your child, please let us know at check-in.
This is a drop-off workshop. Parents are kindly asked to drop off and pick up their child at the designated times.

Free parking is available in front of the ʻŌlelo Community Media building.
Please check in at the main lobby inside the building (shown in the third photo on the right).

10:05 – 10:45 | Learn About ʻŌlelo Community Media & Facility Tour
Children will learn about:
What ʻŌlelo Community Media does
What happens behind the scenes of a television program
How community media helps people share their voices and local stories
Different careers in media production
10:45 – 11:45 | Mini Studio – Hands-on Media Production Experience
Lights, camera, action!
Children will experience a real studio production environment and learn how teamwork and creativity come together to create media.
Activities will include:
Learning the basics of camera operation and studio equipment
Experiencing behind-the-scenes control room workflows
Practicing on-camera presentation and communication
Rotating through different production roles
Working together to create and record a short video production
11:45 – 12:00 | Reflection & Group Photo
12:00 – 12:10 | Pick-up

Photos taken during the workshop will be shared within 3 days after the event.
A Google Drive album will be sent to the email address used during registration.
This applies only to families who selected "Yes" for photo/video permission on the registration form.

できるだけワークショップ開始前にお手洗いを済ませてからお越しください。
お迎えの方が申込時と異なる場合は、受付時にスタッフへお知らせください。
本ワークショップはお子さまのみご参加いただくドロップオフ形式です。保護者の皆さまは受付後にご退出いただき、お迎え時間にお戻りください。

子どもたちは、以下の内容について学びます。
ʻŌlelo Community Mediaがどのような活動をしているのか
テレビ番組の舞台裏ではどんな仕事が行われているのか
コミュニティメディアが地域の人々の声やローカルストーリーをどのように届けているのか
メディア制作に関わるさまざまな仕事
10:45 – 11:45｜Mini Studio – メディア制作実践体験
Lights, Camera, Action!
本物のスタジオ環境の中で、チームワークと創造力がどのようにメディア制作につながっていくのかを体験します。
体験内容：
カメラ操作やスタジオ機材の基本を学ぶ
コントロールルームでの舞台裏の流れを体験する
カメラの前で話す・伝えることに挑戦する
制作に関わるさまざまな役割を交代で体験する
チームで協力し、短い映像作品を制作・収録する
11:45 – 12:00｜ふり返り・集合写真
12:00 – 12:10｜お迎え

ワークショップ中に撮影した写真は、開催後3日以内を目安に共有いたします。
写真は、お申し込み時にご登録いただいたメールアドレス宛にGoogle Driveアルバムとしてお送りします。
