MIRAI HANA Workshop on Sun, August 9, 2026

We are excited to announce the 22nd MIRAI HANA workshop! All participants, please review the following details carefully.

Date: Sunday, August 9, 2026
Check‑in Time: 9:40 AM – 10:00 AM (at Design Studio)
Workshop Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pick-up Time: 11:50 AM – 12:05 PM (at Ten Tomorrow shop)
Venue:
Design Studio: 1123 11th Ave #304, Honolulu, HI 96816 (Check-in)
Ten Tomorrow shop: 1114 11th Ave, Honolulu, HI 96816 (Pick-up)
*Parents: Drop-off at the Design Studio and pick-up at Ten Tomorrow.

Please bring a water bottle.
Since children will be designing fashion sketches, MIRAI HANA will provide the materials, but they are welcome to bring their favorite colors if they’d like.
We’ll provide a name sticker, work notebook, clipboard, and pen at check-in. A MIRAI HANA shirt may be provided/used during activities.
Please have your child use the restroom beforehand if possible. (There is a restroom available in the building.)
If someone other than the person you listed on the registration form will pick up your child, please inform us at check-in.
This workshop is drop-off only.
Parking:
You can use the public parking lot in behind the building (no validation available).

9:40 – 10:00 Check-in at Design Studio
10:00 – 10:20 Opening, Opening, Meet Summer & the Team, and Introduction to the Fashion Designer’s Work
10:20 – 11:0 Activity 1 – Design Studio Activities
• Fabric selection and cutting
• Sewing demonstration
• Croquis fashion sketching
• Aloha shirt print design
Children will select fabric for their own small bag or pouch and learn how it is sewn.
Participants are welcome to bring their favorite colored pencils or pens.
11:10 – 11:40 Activity 2 – TEN TOMORROW Shop Experience
• Shop tour and Q&A
• Learn how fashion products are displayed and sold
• Costing worksheet: learn how designers price their products
11:40 – 12:00 Closing, Reflection, Group Photo & Giveaway

📌 Pick-up: Please pick up your child between 11:50 AM – 12:05 PM at the TEN TOMORROW Shop.

Photos taken during the workshop will be shared within 3 days after the workshop.

Photo data will be sent to the email address provided at the time of registration via a Google Drive album.

This applies only to families who selected “Yes” for photo and video media usage on the registration form.

保護者さま：お子さまのドロップオフはDesign Studio、ピックアップはTen Tomorrow店舗でお願いします。

お持ち物は水筒のみで大丈夫です。
ファッションスケッチを描くための道具はこちらでご用意しますが、お子さまが好きな色があればぜひお持ちください。
可能であれば、事前にお手洗いをお済ませください。（お手洗いはビル内にございます。）
お迎えの方が受付時と異なる場合は、受付時にスタッフまでお知らせください。
駐車場について
建物横の公共駐車場をご利用いただけます（無料駐車券はありません）。

9:40 – 10:00　受付（Design Studio）
10:00 – 10:20　オープニング、Summerさんとチームの紹介、ファッションデザイナーの仕事について
10:20 – 11:10　アクティビティ①（Design Studio）：
・生地選びと裁断
・縫製デモ
・クロッキーデザイン
・アロハシャツのプリントデザイン
子どもたちは好きな生地を選び、小さなバッグまたはポーチが縫製される工程を学びます。
必要であれば、お気に入りの色鉛筆やペンをご持参いただけます。
11:10 – 11:40　アクティビティ②（Ten Tomorrow 店舗）：
・ショップツアー、Q&A
・商品が店頭に並び、販売されるまでについて学ぶ
・価格設定ワークシート
11:40 – 12:00　ふりかえり、クロージング、集合写真、プレゼントのお渡し
お迎え時間：11:50～12:05の間にお子さまをお迎えください。

ワークショップ中の写真は終了後3日以内に、申込時のメールアドレスへ写真データを送付します。申込フォームでメディア使用「可」とされた方が対象です。（Googleドライブのアルバムで共有予定です）
