MIRAI HANA Workshop on Sun, August 17 - Afternoon Session

We are excited to announce the second MIRAI HANA workshop! All participants, please review the following details carefully.

📅 Date & Venue

  • Date: Sunday, August 17, 2025

  • Check‑in Time: 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM

  • Workshop Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Pick-up Time: 3:45 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Venue: Kaimuki Shokudo

    (1127 11th Ave, Honolulu, HI 96816)

✅ What to Bring & Important Notes

  • Please bring a water bottle. No other items are required.

  • An apron will be provided on site to wear over your clothes.

  • Please have your child use the restroom beforehand if possible. (There is a restroom inside the venue.)

  • If someone other than the person you listed on the registration form will pick up your child, please inform us at check-in.

  • Parking:
    There is a paid public parking lot behind the restaurant. Kaimuki Shokudo is located under Moke’s Bread & Breakfast on 11th Ave, and you can use the public parking lot in front of the building (no validation available).

📋 Schedule on the Day

  • 1:30 – 2:00 Check‑in

  • 2:00 – 2:10 Opening

  • 2:10 – 2:30 Meet the Kaimuki Shokudo staff & Learn About Restaurant Work

  • 2:30 – 3:00 Try Taking Orders

  • 3:00 – 3:45 Kitchen Experience: Let’s Make Local Food!

  • 3:45 – 4:00 Closing ceremony, group photo, and info on upcoming events

Pick-up Time:
Please pick up your child between 3:45 - 4:00.

Even if you choose the “drop-off” option, you are welcome to come early before the pickup time to observe the workshop. Please let our staff know that you are a parent or guardian of a participant.

📷 Data Sharing

  • Within five days after the workshop, we will send event photos to the email address you provided at registration. If you answered “Yes” to the question, “Do you give permission for your child to be photographed or filmed for reports and social media?” on the application form, you will receive these photos.

    • If you would like to change your answer, please let us know at the registration desk on the day of the workshop.

    • If you would like us to use a different email address, please let us know. (We plan to share via a Google Drive album.)

ご参加のみなさまは、下記のご案内を必ずご確認お願いします。

✅ 当日の持ち物・お願い

  • お持ち物は水筒のみで大丈夫です。他に必要な物はありません。

  • エプロンは会場でお渡しし、服の上から着用していただきます。

  • 可能であれば、事前にお手洗いをお済ませください。（レストラン内にもお手洗いがあります。）

  • お迎えの方が申込時と異なる場合は、受付時にスタッフまでお知らせください。

  • 駐車場について
    レストラン前に有料パブリックパーキングがあります。Kaimuki Shokudoは11th Ave沿いMoke’s Bread & Breakfastの下にあり、建物裏手の公共駐車場をご利用いただけます（無料駐車券はありません）。

2:00 – 2:10 オープニング
2:10 – 2:30 Kaimuki Shokudo スタッフ紹介・レストランの仕事を学ぼう
2:30 – 3:00 オーダー取り体験
3:00 – 3:45 キッチン体験：ローカルフードを作ろう！
3:45 – 4:00 クロージング・集合写真・今後のイベント案内

お迎え時間: 3:45 - 4:00 の間にお迎えをお願いします。

ドロップオフ（預ける）を選択された方も、お迎え時間より早めに会場へ来て見学することが可能です。保護者の方はスタッフにお声がけください。

📷 データ共有について

ワークショップ終了後5日以内に、申込時にご記入いただいたメールアドレス宛に当日の写真データをお送りします。
申込フォームの「SNS等での写真・動画使用の可否」で「はい」と回答された方にのみ写真をお送りします。

  • 回答を変更したい場合は、当日受付でスタッフにお知らせください。

  • 別のメールアドレスでの受け取りをご希望の場合もお知らせください。（Googleドライブのアルバムで共有予定です。）
